The Seattle Storm are 2020 WNBA champions after winning 92-59 in Game 3 of their best-of-five finals series with the Las Vegas Aces.

The Storm are the first team to go undefeated in the playoffs since the Minnesota Lynx in 2013.

Breanna Stewart, named WNBA championship MVP led the way for Seattle with 26 points. Throughout the finals she averaged 28.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Following Stewart in Game 3 was Jewell Loyd with 19 points and Jordin Canada with 15.

With Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart returning to the court this year, the Seattle Storm were the favourites to win the title since the beginning of the season.

The Storm and Aces tied for first in the Western conference this year, each finishing the regular season with an 18-4 record.

This is the Storm’s second championship title in three years and the fourth in franchise history.
